CLASS OF 2014
When I was in Portland last month, I had a senior photography session with the amazing Claire. She is the daughter of a friend of mine from graduate school, Elizabeth. In grad school I called Elizabeth “superwoman ” because of how amazing she was at balancing everything in her busy life! She is one impressive lady and her daughter is definitely following in her footsteps.
A funny fact about this shoot. When I arrived at the location it was grey and overcast. However, at 5:59, a minute before the photo shoot was scheduled to begin, it began raining. Rain in Portland is NOT the same as rain in Bend. When we lived in Portland, it one time rained for 30 days straight. Therefore, I was worried about how long the shower would last. It was definitely a make it work moment and we made it work with moments where we were literally hovering under my large reflector for rain cover!
One thing that Claire and Elizabeth wanted was a photo with sun shining in her hair. We worried the sun would not come out because of the storm. However, we were so pleasantly surprised when it came out and stayed, giving us these photos with the beautiful light.
Two things I learned about Claire during our photo shoot.
1. She plays soccer. I can only imagine how talented she must be at it! 2. When she laughs, her entire face is full of joy. It really is priceless.
Claire, I loved working with you and am so excited for your future. It is looking really BRIGHT.
You are going to rock your senior year.
